If you'd have asked anyone at the start of the season who they thought would be relegated at the end of it, not many would have said even one of these, certainly not all three. Still, Stoke City and West Brom will be Championship clubs next season, and only a miracle will stop Swansea City from joining them.
As teams that have been Premier League mainstays in recent seasons, they have squads full of players that will likely be looking to jump ship at the first opportunity in a desperate attempt to play top-level Football.
The desire of these players to leave, combined with a financial necessity to sell following the drop in the division, will mean that some quality players will be available for a lot less than they may be worth.
1) Xherdan Shaqiri
This one would be a risk for whoever decided to take this particular player. There is no doubting the Swiss' ability, but he comes with baggage. A lot of baggage.
Despite his periods and glimmers of inspiration where he produces something magnificent, he doesn't do it nearly enough to make him a no-brainer of a signing. A picture of Shaqiri is likely sitting next to the word 'inconsistent' in a dictionary somewhere.
His biggest flaw, however, is an apparent inability to keep his mouth shut - something that most managers will likely not appreciate. BBC Sport reported Stoke midfielder Charlie Adam as having said that there are some players at the club who have been "getting away with murder for a long time," Shaqiri being one of them.
While his talents are obvious to see, any manager who chooses to take the gamble on him must rein in his attitude and at the same time, get the best out of a player who has been under-performing since he left Bayern Munich - not an easy task.
2) Ryan Shawcross
It's hard to imagine Stoke's captain leaving the club as the only survivor of the team that was last promoted to the Premier League in 2008.
Still, with the sharp decline in the club's fortunes this season, he may see this as the right time to leave.
A persistent back injury has haunted the skipper this season, and when he has played he hasn't been at the level we have come to expect from him. Ironically, it was his mistake that led to Patrick van Aanholt scoring the goal that officially relegated the Potters.
The 30-year old is clearly no spring chicken, but his vast Premier League experience would make him a useful signing for one of the few teams who survived by the skin of their teeth, or perhaps a newly-promoted side. It's likely that Shawcross won't be actively looking to leave his beloved Stoke, but he could be tempted if the right opportunity came along.
3) Jonny Evans
At 30-years old, Evans has been the subject of endless speculation this season linking him with a move away from The Hawthorns to the likes of Arsenal, Chelsea and Manchester City. Now that the Baggies' relegation has been confirmed despite the sacking of Alan Pardew as manager, those rumours are likely to persist this summer.
The Northern Ireland international's quality is undoubted and it would be a waste for a defender of his considerable talents to not be playing at the top level. He has already proven that he can play for a top team - he was a regular for Manchester United under Sir Alex Ferguson for seven years before moving to the West Midlands.
West Brom must be kicking themselves for rejecting a reported £23m bid from title-winning City in January, as he will surely be available for a lot less this summer.
The only thing that might drive up his price tag is competition. Most teams in the Premier League will likely throw their hats in the ring to sign Evans.
4) Alfie Mawson
Alfie is another central defender, this time from Swansea, that it would be strange to not see in the Premier League next term. The 24-year-old has been a rare shining light in a season to forget for the Swans. he produced commanding defensive displays and also he has the ability to grab a goal at the other end on occasion.
His displays were so good that he earned England call-ups ahead of experienced hands Gary Cahill and Chris Smalling, and could be an outsider to make it into Gareth Southgate's squad for this summer's World Cup.
Mawson's destination could prove to be a little more glamorous than that of Shawcross. Fourth-placed Tottenham Hotspur is the favourite to take the London-born defender back to the city of his birth. Meanwhile, Everton has also been linked, a team that are no strangers to signing former-Barnsley defenders - just ask John Stones and Mason Holgate.
5) André and Jordan Ayew
We're cheating a little here by putting both of them in, but both are players who have proven their ability to play in the Premier League, and will likely be targets for top-flight clubs this summer. The Swansea pair will likely be casualties of any summer clear-out in South Wales and could be available for a song to any prospective buyers.
André Ayew was integral to Swansea's survival in 2015/16, contributing 12 league goals to earn valuable points. On his return since his 18-month dalliance with West Ham in the interim, he hasn't scored a single goal and that will be a concern, but the former-Marseille man has some quality that cannot be ignored.
His younger brother Jordan has taken over the mantle of being the chief-goal threat under Carlos Carvalhal, but his tally was not enough to stop his side from being all but relegated with one game to go. Three years-a Premier League player now, he has the experience and the goals to boost the striking options of a bottom-half side.
