Spurs are one of the strongest sides in the Premier League. Despite perhaps not being quite as good as in recent years, the North London side looks set to bag a third-straight top-four finish in the English top flight.
That would be quite an accomplishment - the club has come a long way in the last decade, and has gone from a team that 'could' qualify for European competition to one that is regularly a genuine contender for the title.
The fact that they appear to have overtaken bitter rivals Arsenal, whose manager Arséne Wenger this week announced his plans to leave at the end of the season, in the Premier League pecking order makes for even better reading for the average Lilywhites fan.
But despite all their promise and their being tipped year-on-year as 'contenders,' Tottenham are still falling short of winning the league, and haven't done so since lifting the old First Division title in 1961, one of only two top-flight wins in their history.
In a fresh bid to change that, Mauricio Pochettino could be planning wholesale changes to his squad.
The changing of the Ald guard
The Daily Mail believes that the Argentine would be willing to sell four first team players in order to raise funds to bring in reinforcements.
Toby Alderweireld is one of those slated to leave in the summer, with the Belgian having fallen out of favour with the manager this season - he's only started once in the league since October and seems to have been fully replaced by £40m man Davinson Sánchez.
Fellow defender Danny Rose is also one of those apparently on their way out of the club after falling behind Ben Davies in the pecking order, despite having been at Spurs since 2007.
Manchester United have shown interest in the Englishman in the past and could revive their interest.
Victor Wanyama and Mousa Dembélé are the other two tipped to be cleaning out their lockers this summer, with Pochettino reportedly wanting to freshen-up his options in midfield.
This would be a bold move, as Spurs would be losing their main enforcers in the middle of the park, and at the same time two players that have become favourites among supporters.
Players that leave need to be replaced
The whole point of such radical changes is that Pochettino can have the funds to be able to bring in players that can help the club to a first title in almost 60 years.
The Daily Mail reckon that they could raise £170m from the sale of these four, with Alderweireld, Rose and Wanyama reportedly worth £50m each and Dembélé expected to fetch another £20m.
While the pricing of the first three, in particular, may seem a little ambitious, there is no doubt that the sale of the quartet would raise enough capital to purchase one or two top-class players.
As for who those purchases may be, the Mirror has a few suggestions. They reckon that either Atalanta's Bryan Cristante or André Gomes of Barcelona could be set to replace Dembélé, and Sporting Lisbon's Gelson Martins could be set to join them.
Sticking with the Portuguese theme, they also believe that full-back Cédric Soares and Wolves sensation Rúben Neves could be tempted to make the switch to North London.
While these players are certainly very good, very few of them have experience of winning trophies - a necessary quality in a squad that wants success.
André Gomes has all but won the La Liga title with Barcelona this season, but has been more of a squad player with the Catalan giants.
Neves has been a major part of Wolves' successful promotion campaign from the Championship this season, but has no Premier League experience to count on and could be a risk.
And of the other three, Cristante, Martins and Soares, none of them are particularly exciting prospects or world-class players.
If there is such a drastic clear-out this summer then Spurs fans will be expecting a higher calibre of player to come in and push the club to the next level.
