Renato Sanches, the young Portuguese midfielder in force in Bayern Munchen has revealed he is tempted by a move to Italian Serie A team Milan.
The 19-year old signed a five-year contract just last summer, but after finding his opportunities limited last season (only 17 appearences in Bundesliga) he has acknolwledged he needs to look elsewere.
“I'm not satisfed. I need to play more. This is why I want to join a club where I could get more playing” he cliamed to SportBild. "I’m young, I want and I have to play a lot. I think the chance to do so is greater in Milan than in Munich” he added.
Milan wants him
Last week Vincenzo Montella, the italian coach of Milan, says he would be pleased to sign him. But recently also Chelsea and Manchester United have been linked with a move with Sanches. Last week Bayern Munich Carlo Ancelotti admitted that Sanches could leave Germany for Premier League top club Manchester United. Bayern Ceo Karl-Heinz Rummenigge confirmed that the club would sell the young midfielder only if matched last summer shock fee of £44milion.
In this freewheeling summer transfer market, new Milan Chinese owner Li Yonghong spent 211 million euros (nearly $250 million) one of the most in Europe in recent years.
This type of outlay is reminiscent of when Roman Abramovic took over Chelsea in 2003, Sheik Monosur at Manchester City in 2008 and Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani in Paris Sain Germain.
Also former Milan coach Arrigo Sacchi, in an editorial in Italian newspaper "Gazzetta dello Sport" reminded readers when in 1986 Silvio Berlusconi boosted his golden era signing Ruud Gullit, Marco Van Basten, Carlo Ancelotti and Frank Rijkaard.
Other signings
Other recents stars signed by Rossoneri included Portuguese young forward André Silva from Porto, rugged midfielder Franck Kessie (Atalanta), lethal centre-forward Hakan Calhanoglu (Bayer Leverkusen), experienced midfielder Lucas Biglia (Lazio), other Argentine, the defender Mateo Musacchio (Villarreal), Swiss left defender Ricardo Rodriguez, up-and-comer Italian wing Andrea Conti (Atalanta) and the six time Serie A champion Leonardo Bonucci from Juventus, one of the top European defenders.
With 18 recognised Uefa and Fifa titles, Milan can be considered one of the most succssessful Italian clubs at International level. Last time that Milan won Serie A is in 2010-2011 season, was seven years ago. While on May 23, 2007, Milan won the seventh European Champions League.
