Fulham, currently ninth in the Championship, face Hull City, who sit 19th in the Premier League, at Craven Cottage this Sunday. Hull City and new manager, Marco Sila, will look to put their poor league form behind them momentarily to advance to the quarter finals of the 2017 FA Cup.
Team News
New Fulham signing, Thanos Petsos- a midfielder from Germany-, could make his Fulham debut after joining on loan from German side, Werder Bremen. Right winger Floyd Ayite returns from the African Cup of Nations but attacking midfielder Neeskens Kebano is still in Gabon with Congo.
Following a win against Manchester United in the EFL Cup on Thursday, Hull City manager Marco Silva has no new injury concerns but he is expected to mix things up. What the managers said
Marco Silva, the Hull City manager, said that he is expecting a big performance from his team following their surprise win against Manchester United on Thursday: 'Although I haven't been the manager of the team for long, I have managed to impletement some of my style on the club.
Our result against Manchester United, although dissapointing in a lot of ways as we did not make the final, should be motivation for the team to show everyone what they are made of'.
Slavisa Jokanovic, Fulham's manager, spoke of his team's home advantage: 'I don't see too much difference in terms of quality between us and Hull.
Sure, they are in the Premier League but I'm certain that we can challenge them in all areas on Sunday afternoon. We are missing a couple of key players but the boys are ready to spring an upset'.
Hull City haven't lost to a team below them in the league since Crawley defeated them in the fourth round in 2012. Although Fulham have made it to the fourth round of the FA Cup for eight of the past nine seasons, they have been eliminated at this stage for the past four seasons.
