Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp’s project at Anfield is set to receive a huge boost as he is reportedly going to receive substantial funds to overhaul the club in the summer. Klopp opted not to buy any players in January and continue throughout the season with the group of players that he inherited from former manager Brendan Rodgers and the team is currently in 9th place with 38 points. It wasn’t expected that Klopp would turn Liverpool’s season around but as the season continues and he gets more used to the squad it can be said that he’s gaining more of an idea as to which players will fit into his philosophy.

Liverpool have announced record revenues for 2015 which means that there is even more money for the Reds to invest their squad. This is something that will make fans happy especially after the situation where fans staged a walkout after the club suggested a price raise for matchday tickets to £77. Now that the club has confirmed that they’ll have the money to back Klopp in the transfer market, targets have already mentioned. It’s been reported that the club will be looking at Bayern Munich midfielder Mario Gotze and Leicester City full back Ben Chilwell to name a few.

Some have already speculated that players like Christian Benteke and Mario Balotelli will be on their way out of the club in the summer as they rebuild with hopes of a potential title challenge next season.

The title is very well out of reach for Liverpool and Jurgen Klopp has already made it clear that he’s not interested in the race. Throughout the season Klopp has been forced to use Roberto Firmino and Lucas Leiva out of position due to injury problems and players generally not fitting his style of play, and he has done an admirable job this season having taken Liverpool to the League Cup final and keeping them within distance of a Europa League place. Should Klopp manage to acquire his transfer targets to add to the signings of Joel Matip and Marko Grujic, Liverpool was pose a threatening proposition next season.
