As the Bundesliga heads into its final weekend it is getting to that time when teams start to look towards the summer transfer window. Here we are going to look at some of the rumours coming out of Germany.
Ins
Raheem Sterling
In the last week or so it has been reported that Raheem Sterling is going to tell Liverpool officials he wants to leave the club in the summer.
Reasons as to why Sterling wants to leave are a bit confusing as Sterling's representatives have said that the player feels bullied in the way he has been asked to sign the new contract and he is unhappy that details of the contract offer were made public. This has got a number of clubs interested in signing the Englishman and one of those clubs is Bayern Munich. Sterling has scored 11 goals this season with nine assists which isn't much better than current Bayern wingers Frank Ribery, Arjen Robben and Thomas Muller. If Bayern were to sign Sterling it would be a terrific signing for the club because Arjen Robben and Frank Ribery are both in their thirties now and rumours are still going around that Thomas Muller could leave the club.
Sebastian Rode
Even though Sebastian Rode only joined Bayern at the start of the season after signing from Eintracht Frankfurt he has gone on to make 22 appearances for the club which is more than people thought he would due to injuries to Philipp Lahm and Bastian Schweinsteiger. VfL Wolfsburg are reported to be interested in signing the German midfielder to bolster their squad after qualifying for the Champions League. Whether or not Wolfsburg will be able to sign the player is hard to say as Pep Guardiola said that he wants to keep the midfielder.
Shinji Okazaki
Shinji Okazaki has had a good season this year with Mainz 05 helping his team have a solid season in the Bundesliga and picking up 12 goals along the way.
Borussia Monchengladbach are said to be interested in signing the player as a replacement for the out going Max Kruse.
Yacine Brahimi
Another player Bayern Munich are interested in signing is the Algerian midfielder Yacine Brahimi. Brahimi moved to FC Porto at the start of the season from Granada and he has gone on to make 17 appearances with six goals. Again this would be a great signing for Bayern with their ageing wingers, and the player himself has a lot of potential.
Outs
Kevin de Bruyne
Kevin de Bruyne has had a terrific season this year helping VfL Wolfsburg achieve a second place finish in the Bundesliga and the player himself has managed to amass ten goals and 18 assists.
A number of clubs are interested in signing the Belgian in the summer but in the last few days it is reported that Manchester City have made an approach. If City does sign the player it will be a great signing for the club because not only is de Bruyne a top player, it will also bring some much needed youth into an ageing team.
Kevin Wimmer
Not a lot of Premier League fans will know who Kevin Wimmer is. He is 22 years of age and plays as a centre back. This season the German has gone on to make 25 appearances for Cologne. Liverpool and Tottenham were said to be interested in signing him but in the last few days it has been reported that Tottenham have completed the signing of Kevin Wimmer for a reported £4.25 million.
Bernd Leno
Bernd Leno has had a fantastic season in goal for Bayer Leverkusen this year. The German keeper has managed 17 clean sheets and is joint first alongside Manuel Neuer for most clean sheets. It is no secret that Arsenal will be looking to sign a goalkeeper in the summer and in recent weeks it has been said that Leno is the man they want. Leno is arguably ten times better than current Arsenal goal keepers Wojciech Szczesny and David Ospina.
