After wrapping up the £6 million signing of Cardiff attacking midfielder Jordan Mutch yesterday, Harry Redknapp and QPR look set to dive back into the transfer market by signing West Ham central midfield ace Mohamed Diamé.

It has been a protracted transfer saga involving the hacking and subsequent leaking of an official Manchester City video welcoming the centre back to the Etihad Stadium, but it seems that the deal for French defender Mangala will finally happen within the next two days.

Vidal transfer held up over injury concerns

Chilean international Arturo Vidal's supposed move to Manchester City has been one of the most persistent rumours of this transfer window.

Just when things seemed to be dying down though Chilean international boss Jorge Sampaoli has given them new life. Sampaoli has claimed that a deal in the region of £47 million is in place for the midfielder to move to Old Trafford but that it is being held up by new Manchester United boss Louis Van Gaal who is concerned over the knee injury that almost kept the star midfielder out of the 2014 World Cup in Brazil.
