Harry Styles seems to have succeeded in getting rid of his teenage idol reputation and he's done it by simply being himself.

Carpool Karaoke

He was James Corden's guest in the latest of his popular Carpool Karaoke segments, which bounced to Number One on YouTube trends in just a few hours. They went from singing songs from the album "Harry Styles" to old stuff like Hey Ya by Outkast or Harry's go-to karaoke song Endless Love by Diana Ross and Lionel Richie.

"If I was wearing that shirt, I'd just look like I'm on my way to a barbecue". That's what James Corden says after seeing Harry's flowery shirt, and pointed out (quite rightly) that "There's nothing that man can't wear", after trying on different outfits.

From this Carpool Karaoke we learned how one of the most coveted and favourite pop stars on the planet prefers films like the Notebook to Fight Club. "But do you mean this or is this just you saying this cause you know the reaction of females when they watch this?" Corden instigates, followed by "I could see you in a Rom Com". And that's how he asked Styles to re-create their favourite Rom Com such as Notting Hill (with James Corden as Hugh Grant and Harry Styles as Julia Roberts) and Titanic, where Harry pronounced the famous words "Draw me like one of your French girls".

One Man Show

Styles showed off his showman skills too during the Late Late Show with James Corden, doing an opening monologue and surprising the live studio audience, as well as those watching at home.

Harry himself had to ask the audience to calm down to start the show. He talked about different topics such as Donald Trump's relations with Russia to the hacking of the new Disney film "Pirates of the Caribbean", engaging in a series of puns that left those in the studio amused.

He also performed songs from his new album: Kiwi, Two Ghosts and Carolina.

Allegedly, this last song was written about an American 20-year-old girl named Townes Adair Jones, a Philosophy and French major university student.

"Harry Styles"

The former One Direction star's new album seems to go in a different direction from the previous songs Styles used to sing with his band. It sounds more adult, more genuine.

Also, he showed amazing live skills alongside Corden in the now famous car, proving he's definitely not just a pretty face loved by teenagers, like many defined him in the past.

His new album came out on May 12th and received great reviews from the audience. His first single, Sign of the Times, was publicly acclaimed but received negative comments from former band mate Liam Payne.

When he was asked by Music Choice what he thought about Styles' new single, he said "Harry's song, um, I heard... I’ll be honest with you, it’s not my sort of music". And then continued: "It’s not something I’d listen to, but I think he did a great job of doing what he wanted to do. That’s the way I’d put it best, I think".
