Everything is possible
Individuality is one of the most important things to him and that's reflected in his career to date. His early ambition of becoming an actor and the dream of going to Hollywood was something that seemed impossible to a lot of people, but not to Joe, he believed in his dreams and went from a small town in Austria to Los Angeles.
He worked for celebrities as a private chef
Acting schools can be very expensive and not a lot of people can afford them. In order to continue his development as an actor he worked as a private chef to celebrities to pay for classes with Harry Mastrogeorge and the Lee Strasberg Institute in Los Angeles and the Stella Adler Studio in New York.
His training as a chef and catering specialist prior to going to Hollywood meant that he had the opportunity to work for famous people from the varied worlds of the Film industry, sport and politics. He gained more experience through the connections he made and found an even greater will to succeed.
TV and film career in Hollywood
His early acting roles in Hollywood were as an FBI agent in the TV series 'The Visitor' and a policeman in the TV series 'Brooklyn South'. Joe's strong characterisation continued as he progressed into feature films making his début in the Hollywood production of the famous hit 'Godzilla' followed by the Paramount Pictures production of 'Breakdown' with Kurt Russell.
Film projects around the globe
In addition to acting Joe Rabl is now working on several projects as a successful producer having launched Pelican Pictures – www.pelicanpictures.net
Most recently he is a producer on Slovenian actor/producer/director Marjan Radanovich's award winning short film 'Traces Of Life' that has garnered international recognition - Award of Merit: The Accolade Global Film Competition USA (San Diego), Official Selection: Movie Park Action Film Festival Hollywood USA (Los Angeles) 2016, Official Selection: Underground FilmFest Germany (Munich) 2016, Official Selection: Tuzla Film Festival (Bosnia) 2016, Official Selection and Best Short: Paragon & Script Film Festival USA (Los Angeles) 2015, Official Selection Cinefest Film Festival USA (Los Angeles) 2015.
Joe and Marjan are now looking to expand 'Traces Of Life' into feature length.
Joe is currently in development and created a lot of interest with the action/thriller feature 'Solar Storm' based on his original idea and written by UK screenwriter Thomas Rushforth. He is currently talking to world-renowned producers and hopes to announce this year.
And soon you will be able to see him acting again as Thomas' Father in the Austrian mystery thriller 'Snakebite'.
