Alright, alright! Here's what we've got:
Jimmy Fallon will definitely be dressed in a tux on Sunday, January 8 at The Beverly Hilton in Beverly Hills, California; where he will present about 30 shiny-golden spheres to the winners with the help of his celebrity friends; some being winners of Golden Globes in years past; FCC-approved jokes will be told and the worldwide audience will kinda laugh.
But that's all viewers can expect of this year's Golden Globes - or is it?
What if I told you there's more?
What If I told you, we can see the future?
These 3 Winners of The 2017 Golden Globe Awards Will Trend-Set This Awards Season
1. Best Motion Picture - Animated
The battleground has been set: As Universal Pictures continues to dominate at the box office with winners like Despicable Me, SING, and The Secret Life Of Pets; Walt Disney Pictures has the largest stronghold on the genre with a unmatched cast of recognizable characters at their disposal and the 2015 Academy Award winner Big Hero 6 and 2015 Golden Globe winner Inside Out.
This year is the year all of this animated jockeying will be put to rest; Disney has two thoroughbreds in the race for the 2017 Golden Globe with Moana and Zootopia, both will be hard to beat in the Golden Globe race and Oscars race, while Universal is riding the back of SING for this year's Globe.
Two independent animated features round out the category: Kubo And The Two Strings and My Life As A Zucchini, the latter being a foreign film. Whichever can pull out the victory; whether it's one of Walt Disney Pictures' two films, SING, Swiss-made My Life As A Zucchini or Laika's Kubo And The Two Strings - the future of this category will be set: Either Disney will continue to rule, studios like Universal and Fox will fight back strong, or the indies will steal the show for years to come.
2. Best Performance by an Actress in a Supporting Role in any Motion Picture
Three women of color are nominated: Naomie Harris (Moonlight), Octavia Spencer (Hidden Figures), and Viola Davis (Fences).
If Naomie, Octavia, or Viola were to win they would be only the 5th African-American to win the Supporting Actress category, the first since Octavia Spencer (The Help) took home the 2012 Golden Globe.
2012 is also the year Octavia took home the 2012 Academy Award her role as Minny Jackson in The Help.
If Octavia wins the Golden Globe this year, she's taking home the Oscar for the same category, guaranteed.
3. Best Performance by an Actor in a Motion Picture - Drama
This category is too close to call and there's a good chance 60% of the 2017 Golden Globe nominees will not be the same nominees for the Academy Awards when they are announced on January 24.
So here's how we can predict the winner; consider last year a fluke - Leo was a beast. This year, if Denzel Washington wins the Golden Globe, he's not a lock for the award like he was in 1990, where he shined in Glory as Private Silas Trip, winning Best Supporting Actor - Drama at both the Globes and Oscars.
This year, it's a race of three to take home both the Globe and Oscar: Casey Affleck, Andrew Garfield, or Viggo Mortensen have the chance to double up this awards season. Any other winner of the Globe will most likely win the Globe, and the Screen Actor's Guild Award, but definitely not the Oscar.
