Bollywood is the final destination of any beauty pageant winner and last year’s Miss World 2017, Manushi Chillar, is no different. Aishwarya Bachchan, Sushmita Sen, Lara Dutta, Priyanka Chopra, and many other former beauty pageant winners had successful Bollywood careers under their belt.

Manushi Chillar had earlier said that she did have a soft corner for the camera, her Bollywood debut is something which she has not thought of for the time being.

Since she won the prestigious title of Miss World 2017, fans were eagerly waiting for news of the dazzling beauty making her Bollywood debut.

Manushi has already made it clear that she has a hectic schedule to keep and her Bollywood debut can wait. Many top filmmakers have already approached her with tailormade roles.

Manushi was pursuing a course in Medicine in an all-girls college in Sonepat when she was crowned the 2017 Miss World at a glittering ceremony in the seaside resort city of Sanya in China.

Manushi on Miss World duty

Manushi has been traveling across the globe as a part of the Beauty with a Purpose Tour. Almost half a year after being crowned Miss World, there have been several monumental changes in her life - a lot of travelling, learning, and an added sense of responsibility.

Manushi Chillar’s family belongs to Haryana and has her college studies to be completed.

Manushi is a gifted Kuchipudi dancer and yearns to become a cardiac surgeon. She also dabbles in poetry and does paintings.

Her future plans

In a recent interview with ABC News, Manushi talked about her plans and said that she had a number of commitments and she found it similar to what she was doing in college.

This is in reference to her studies in medicine and the initiative under which she will be going to South Africa and Kenya spreading the message of menstrual hygiene.

She added that she would be associated with the initiative even after handing over the crown to her successor.

"I sense an actor in me. Being a doctor and an actor is very similar. My father would always tell me, to be a good doctor you have to be a good actor because fifty percent of the patients are cured by the way you make them feel," Manushi told to India TV.

Manushi Chillar crowned 19-year-old Anukreethy Vas from Chennai as the Femina Miss India 2018 on June 19, 2018 where she was also a judge.

She was crowned Miss World at a glittering event in China last year. Priyanka Chopra last won the prestigious title for India in 2000.
