Superstar Rajinikanth - Akshay Kumar's most awaited movie 'robo 2.0' postponed its release from Diwali 2017 to January 25th, 2018. According to the latest reports, it was known that the filmmakers took this decision as VFX works taking more time to complete than the normal schedule. As director Shankar is very keen on achieving world-class VFX standards in the sequel of Robo movie, he doesn't want to compromise on Quality by wrapping the VFX works in rush and hence he was said to take this decision of postponement of Robo 2.0 for three more months to arrive in the year 2018 during Republic day weekend.

Being made on a humongous budget of Rs 400 crores, Robo 2.0 is one of the most expensive sequel ever in the India and it is shot completely in 3D, which is the first time ever for an Indian movie. Currently, the shoot of the film is in final stages and the movie team is working on post-production works simultaneously.

As the first part created a sensation at the box office by grossing Rs 289 crores, the audience is eagerly waiting for this sequel movie of Robo which was expected to compete with Rajamouli's 'Baahubali: The Conclusion' at the box office once after its release.

Bollywood superstar Akshay Kumar is going to seen as the antagonist in the movie and Amy Jackson is playing the female lead role. A.R.Rahman composing the music and it is bankrolled under Lyca Productions banner.
