S S Rajamouli's second part of Baahubali titled as 'Baahubali: The Conclusion' did a record-breaking pre-release business for an Indian Movie. The film raked Rs 444 crores from its theatrical, satellite and audio rights in all the languages, which is more than double the amount of first part, as Baahubali 1 did a pre-release business of Rs 158 crores. As the first part of Baahubali minted Rs 302 crores share worldwide, the second part has humongous craze among trade circles, which is the reason behind selling out the rights for a hefty price.
Baahubali 2 pre-release business details
In the Telugu states Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, the theatrical rights were sold for Rs 127.50 crores. The business details include Nizam - Rs 45 crores, Ceeded - Rs 25 crores, Uttarandhra - Rs 13 crores, East Godavari - Rs 10 crores, West Godavari - Rs 8 crores, Krishna - Rs 9 crores, Guntur - Rs 12 crores and Nellore - Rs 5.5 crores.
The Tamilnadu, Kerela and Karnataka theatrical rights were sold for Rs 47 crores, Rs 10.5 crores and Rs 36 crores. The rest of the India rights fetched Rs 69 crores.
The total theatrical rights of Baahubali 2 were sold for Rs 290 crores in India. The USA and rest of the world rights were sold for Rs 44 crores and Rs 20 crores.
On the whole, Prabhas's magnum opus 'Baahubali: The Conclusion' fetched Rs 354 crores from worldwide theatrical rights

Record-breaking release for an Indian movie
The movie is slated for record-breaking release all over the world in 9000 screens on April 28th. In India, the film is going to release in 6500 screens, which is almost 70% of screens in the country. On the other hand, the USA and rest of the world screen count are 1100 and 1400.
With this humungous release, Trade predicts that the film is going to shatter many existing records at the box office once after its release.
Nonetheless, the film also stars Rana Daggubati, Anushka Shetty, Tamannaah, Ramya Krishnan and Sathyaraj essaying crucial roles. M M Keeravani composed the music and it is bankrolled by Shobu Yarlagadda and Prasad Devineni on their Arka Media Works banner.
