Tamil movie “Kaththi Sunday” starring Vishal and Tammanah Bhatia was released under the prestigious Madras Banner on Friday, December 23, 2016.

The film is produced by S. Nandagopal Vishal and directed by Suraj. It’s an action-packed drama with thrilling action sequences that would force the viewers to sit on the edge of their seats.

The main lead being played by Vishal and Tammanah promises to scorch the screen with their fresh chemistry spiced by the sexy and sultry look of Tamannaah. One of the biggest attractions of the movie is the return of comedy king Vadivelu to the screen after a long gap and with Soori to assist him the movie will certainly have the audience in squeals of laughter.

Story of reincarnation

Other pivotal roles are being played by Jagapati Babu Sampath Raj, both established character artists and sure to be contributory to the flow of the drama.

The most interesting is the concept of previous births that has been embedded in some parts of the movie and if one wants to hear Shruti Hassan; one can by watching the female lead sway to her voice lent for a particular song.

Actor Vishaal known for his daring attitude and surprises advanced the release of the movie three weeks earlier i.e.

23rd December which was earlier scheduled for Pongal 2017.

This was a surprise by Vishal or a smart, slick move by the production house to capitalize on the box office space which was left vacant by “S3” which was supposed to release today.

TN buses requested not to screen movie

This is a well-planned move and an unusual experiment as normally movie releases are advanced only a week earlier than scheduled.

Another interesting news on the front of “Kaththi Sandai” coming to the forefront is that Vshaal is said to have requested the President of the Tamil Nadu Omni Bus Owners Association by writing him a letter to ensure that the staff of the bus does not play pirated videos of ‘Kaththi Sandai’ and other new releases, during the packed Christmas weekend as it would affect their movies.

This is one of the big movies released in Tamilnadu after the death of its CM J Jayalalitha this month.

Box-office collections:

The film is having a good occupancy rate of more than 70% in multiplexes and single screens across Tamil Nadu. The box-office earnings are expected to be in the range of 10-12 crores in the first weekend.
