lady gaga spoke again about madonna, reigniting a feud that has been going on since 2012.

Interviewed by Beats1,Gagashrugged off comparisonsstating: "I wouldn’t make that comparison at all. I don’t mean to disrespect Madonna. She’s a nice lady. And she’s had a fantastic, huge career. She’s the biggest pop star of all time. But I play a lot of instruments, I write all my own Music. I spend hours and hours a day in the studio, I’m a producer, I’m a writer. What I do is different. I’m not just rehearsing over and over again to put on a show." Madonna replied to these comments with somecryptic posts on Instagram, then deleted them.

While we wait for an interviewer to eventuallypose the question to Madge, here's some reasons why Gaga's remarksare to be considered inaccurate.

Madonna, songwriter and producer

The argument that Madonna is not a pure musiciancould have been used in 1985, when she was the Like A Virgin phenomenondining at the table of more accomplishedtalentslike Bob Dylan and Bruce Springsteen. She compensated by basically inventing the concept of female pop star and workingwith the best people she could find (which remains a talent itself, indeed). Madonna clearly isn't one after raving reviews but more rewarding commercial success.

Perhaps her proverbial self confidencehas stoppedher from defendingher songwriting skills or maybe she finds it a boring subject.

It's known she used to play drums in her previous bands and can play a guitarif she wants to write a song. Madonna's 1983 debutalbum contains songs entirely written by her, including classic gem Lucky Star. Another Madonna-penned track, Masterpiece, won her the Golden Globe for best song in 2012. Here's what five producers have to sayabout the overlooked musician Madonna Ciccone:

Nile Rodgers

"People don’t give Madonna the real respect and credit that she's due.

She is the single hardest working person I’ve ever worked with, and I’ve worked with literally hundreds of stars. Madonna shows up early, stays late, she’ll do every single task you want her to do and more. She’s the kind of person that you dream about." (source MTV UK)

Stuart Price

“She’s the greatest hands-off producer ever.

Most people think producers should be pressing the buttons but she doesn’t pretend to do any of that. She sits on the couch and listens to it and tells you when you’re not being very good. When something’s not sounding good she’ll say, ‘That’s rubbish, that’s rubbish and that’s rubbish’ and you’ll be like, ‘I know, I’m not trying to be rubbish!’. In terms of being a songwriter, she has this thing where she can turn the microphone on, open her mouth and one of those melodies comes out and you go ‘Blimey!”(source THUMP!)

Patrick Leonard

"She would help supply lyrics and offer changes in the music to suit her. She’d refine it. You give her a track, she sings the melody. She’s very very talented. One doesn’t exist without the other.

She always showed up and she was always completely involved. I miss her, actually." (source Showbiz411)

William Orbit

"You know, she hasn't shouted about her musical abilities, but she is the consummate songwriter. She listens to classic musicals a lot. Not just the obvious ones, like Singin' in the Rain, but the lesser ones. She loves them. I remember one time we all had dinner in Germany, and somebody brought up old musicals, and she was the one who knew all the verses...Really solid, melodic stuff like that. And she writes really solid, melodic stuff like that." (source Rolling Stone)

Diplo

"She showed me a whole other level of dedication and old school work ethic when it comes to writing. I'm proud of the work we did." (source Billboard)

Possibly,Madonna chose to ignore Gaga'sclaims because she answered all criticisms in the best way back in 1995.

When asked during an interview she repliedwith a smile: "When I'm dead, they'll finally kiss m* ***. Isn't that how it works?".
