1 in 5 households believe measuring medicine with a household spoon is OK

Giving medicine to young children is a tricky thing, especially when getting the dosage right. Some say labelling is at fault as it reflects both teaspoons and millilitres. However, NPR reports that 1 in 5 parents are giving their children their medicine using household teaspoons. This is not the way to do it. This is worrying as the side effects from too much medicine can create symptoms similar to that of the illness itself. Rather use a proper medicine measuring spoon instead.
