Simmba: 5 Interesting facts about Ranveer Singh and Sara Ali Khan film

Rohit Shetty and Ranveer Singh are coming together for the first time in Hindi cinema.


The flick also stars Sara Ali Khan who will be acting in her second Film, her debut film being “Kedarnath”. "Simmba" film was to have South Indian actor Madhavan as the antagonist, but due to his shoulder surgery, he was replaced by Sonu Sood.


The film is a remake of hit Telugu film 'Temper.'

The film is a remake of the hit Telugu film "Temper" starring NTR Junior. The film is being reprised in Hindi as “Simba” with Ranveer Singh reprising the role played by NTR Junior. Ranveer Singh reprises the role of a corrupt police officer who has a change of heart later.


Film gets excellent reviews

The film got good reviews from trade analysts as well as from people who watched the film on the first day.


The film also has Ajay Devgn in a cameo role.

Ajay Devgn will have a cameo role in the flick, and it is common knowledge that Director Rohit Shetty and Ajay are bosom pals and hence the role in the film. Rohit Shetty and Karan Johar are collaborating for the first time.


'Simmba' released on 28 December

The film is releasing on 28 December which is unique because there are three holidays in a row and this will help the commercial prospects of the film. 'Simmba' was released across 4000 screens and earned Rs 75.11 crores (8.5 million pounds) in three days.


'Simmba' does very well overseas at the box-office

Trade analyst Taran Adarsh tweeted, "#Simmba is a success story in international markets... Has fared best in USA-Canada and UAE-GCC... Elsewhere too, especially Australia, the biz is solid"
