Canada and Norway's battle over the tallest moose sculpture
There’s a battle going on between Canada and Norway as to who can build the largest moose sculpture. Norwegian artist Linda Bakke has managed to pip Canada to the post. Her stainless steel moose stands on a highway between Oslo and Trondheim and is almost 33 feet tall. This makes it almost a foot taller than Canada’s MacMoose, which stands in the appropriately named town of Moose Jaw and Canadians aren’t happy at all. Norway's addition is also much shinier with a bigger rack of antlers.
'Click to Pray' with a new app introduced by Pope Francis
Pope Francis is trying to keep up with Internet trends and has recently launched a new app with the title “Click to Pray.” The pontiff is apparently trying to attract a younger congregation and he encourages people to down load the new app. He introduced the world to the digital platform in his traditional Sunday address in St. Peter’s Square. Its official title is “Worldwide Network of Pray,” and he hopes it will encourage everyone to pray together.
84-year-old Boston man hailed as 'Octopus Whisperer'
According to a report by AP, Wilson Menashi, 84, is known as the “Octopus Whisperer.” He has spent 25 years as a volunteer at the New England Aquarium in Boston and spend most of his time interacting with Freya, an octopus whose tentacles span 14 feet. According to Menashi, the three-year-old octopus is contacting him and telling him to come to her.
Angry bull moose chases skiers at Breckenridge Ski Resort, Colorado
After an incident at the Breckenridge Ski Resort in Colorado, one woman posted a video of a moose chasing skiers and snowboarders on the slopes. Laren Drogsvold caught the moose on video on Saturday and posted it to warn others not to approach or interfere with wildlife, especially this very large bull moose. No reports of injuries were received.
Afghan Singer looks like Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau
They say we all have doubles out there somewhere and Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau just found his. Abdul Salam Maftoon was a contestant on “Afghan Star” and he looks almost like Trudeau’s twin brother. So much so, the singer has been dubbed “Salam Trudeau,” due to his stunning resemblance to the Canadian Prime Minister. He hopes that one day Trudeau will invite him to Canada to do a concert.
