According to the listing, the Android O update will be hitting Zenfone 3 and ZenFone 4 units in the second half of 2018. It has also been mentioned by the company that the Android update will be bundled up with the company’s very own ZenUI 4.0 skin on top as well.

The ZenUI 4.0 skin is apparently designed especially to fall in line with the latest Android update. Most of the Asus-powered smartphones that are scheduled to receive the update currently run on Android 7.1.1 Nougat operating system, with Asus’ ZenUI 3.0 skin on top.

Specs and features of the phone

The device will receive a major boost after the latest updates, however, the users might have to wait a pretty long time for it. As pointed by Android Headlines, another drawback of the update is that the ZenUI 4.0 only carries about 13 pre-installed apps. Whereas, the current ZenUI 3.0 consists of 35 pre-installed apps. To compensate for the lack of apps, the company has added several new and exciting features. The company launched a bunch of smartphones during 2016 as well. For example, the ZenFone 3 – this is also scheduled to receive the Android O update.
