Zimbabwe is leading the two-match Test series 1-0, after winning the first Test in Sylhet. The visitors brilliantly started the match as they reduced Bangladesh to 26-3 in the first hour of the day. Rahim joined Mominul Haque at the crease as the pair started building a partnership. Both the batsman batted cautiously and carried Bangladesh through to lunch on day one.

Mominul, Rahim score big hundreds

After the lunch break, they just went on and on and on; scoring runs freely as the visitors started to feel the pressure. By tea, Mominul had reached his hundred and Rahim was on the way for one.

Rahim brought up his hundred in the final session as Bangladesh's score went past 250 runs. Tendai Chatara finally broke the 266-run partnership with Mominul getting out for a well-made 161. Bangladesh ended the first day's play on 303-5 with Rahim and Mahmuddalah at the crease.

Another wicketless on day two meant the hosts were well on course for a huge first innings total.

Captain Mahmuddalah got out for 36, but Rahim carried on getting to his 150. Mehidy Hasan then joined him at the fall of the seventh wicket, which was the last wicket to fall in the Bangladesh innings. The pair batted confidently taking the Zimbabwean bowlers to the cleaners.

Hasan and Rahim added 144 runs together as both the batsman reached their career-best scores while making sure that the side crosses 500.

Hasan complimented Rahim's knock of 219 by scoring a 68 as Bangladesh posted a substantial first-innings total of 522 runs. For Zimbabwe, Kyle Jarvis picked up his third fifer in Tests.
