India likely to name an unchanged XI

India won the first Test in Rajkot by an innings and 272 runs, taking a 1-0 lead in the short series.

On the eve of the Test, India named an unchanged twelve from the Rajkot game. Seamer Shardul Thakur was the only one who was left out from the initial 12-men side.

It is highly likely that India will be playing this Test with an unchanged XI as the pitch in Hyderabad is more suited to spinners, keeping the three-spinners strategy in intact. It is slightly surprising that India has opted not to experiment even a little, keeping the Australia tour in mind.

Windies will be breathing a sigh of relief in the build-up to the game, as the captain Jason Holder was declared fit and match ready.

Pacer Kemar Roach, who missed the previous Test due to the death of his grandmother, is also back in the mix and will be available for selection. The addition of Roach brings in his experience of some good fast bowling, while Holder will be contributing with the bat, ball and his captaincy.

Pleasant weather welcomes the two sides

The pitch in Hyderabad is really similar to the one in Rajkot. According to ESPNCricinfo, the pitch is expected to be good for batting during the first two days, but there will some turn for the spinners from the third day. The weather forecast of Hyderabad is slightly better in comparisons with Rajkot, as the temperatures are likely to tinker around the 30-degree mark.

There is no rain expected during the entire Test.
