"The Rising of the Shield Hero" Episode 10 will release on 13th March 2019. The next episode seems to drag the hero once again in some misfortune. The upcoming chapter is expected to focus on Naofumi heavily. According to Tokyo Manga, Naofumi rejects Melty and solemnly prepares himself for the next ‘Wave.’ He conditionally accepts a juvenile soldier who wants to cooperate with them. Notably, during episode 8 of the anime, we saw Naofumi grappling with a terrible plague that hit a village. Fortunately, medicine has arrived on time.

After saving a village from the plague, the young hero and his companions, if you remember, decided to head for the mountains. Soon the trio found themselves having to deal with a foreigner.

Melts' introduction

In the previous episode of "The Rising of the Shield Hero," fans have seen the improvement in poor Raphtalia's health and the introduction of Melty, an important character for the future story of the animated series. Fans witnessed, in the village of the East, Naofumi meets a girl named Melty, she said she wanted to go to the kingdom with Firo.

Apparently, she was flanked by the escort, reluctantly accompanied her. In Fact, Melty is the younger sister of Malty and daughter of the king. The synopsis of "The Rising of the Shield Hero" Episode 10 reads, Naofumi, who has refused Melty, will prepare for the next wave and in the meantime will help a hungry village. Fans can now expect a tough decision from the King. He could try to put the hero and his companions in a bad light before the whole kingdom.

The anime

Recall that "The Rising of the Shield Hero" is taken from the original series of novels written by Aneko Yusagi and illustrated by Minami Seira. Currently, the animated transposition episodes are available on the Crunchyroll streaming platform. The novel was published for the first time on the Japanese website of light novel publication "Shosetsuka ni Narou," in October 2012. Subsequently, KADOKAWA began its publication in paper format, under the label MF Books, starting from 23rd August 2013.

The spin-off novel "The Reprise of the Spear Hero" written by Aneko was published in three volumes.
