PSL 2019: 5 things about the last eight matches in Pakistan

The first qualifier will play Second Qualifier on March 13, 2019. Eliminator 2 match will be held on March 15, 2019, and the Final on March 17, 2019, in Karachi. There are still six matches in the league stage, and no team has made into the final playoffs. There are five teams, and all are in contention.

Lahore Qalandars are the only team which is not in contention. However, it can play spoilsport in the fortunes of other teams.

Quetta Gladiators have won all the three league games and still have two matches to consolidate their position on the top of the table. They need to win just one match to go into the eliminators. However, Quetta Gladiators can be eliminated if they lose both their matches by a wide margin.

Islamabad United is on the top of the table with five wins in seven matches. With three matches to play, they need just one win to make into the playoffs.

Karachi Kings can only make into the playoffs if they can win their remaining two matches and Islamabad or Quetta must lose their two remaining matches. The other two teams Multan Sultans and Peshawar Zalmi also have a slim chance of making into the playoffs, but their success will depend upon other team’s performance.
