There is quite a selection of varied films coming to UK cinemas in December and January. Here are just some of the upcoming movies for your viewing pleasure over the Christmas period and beyond.

Jason Mamoa plays "Aquaman," a remake of the classic 1973 Film "Papillon" and "Bumblebee", a spin-off and prequel to the "Transformers" franchise.

There is also a costumed 18th-century drama, "The Favourite" and a film about Laurel and Hardy's 1953 England tour, titled "Stan and Ollie." Get out the popcorn and enjoy the trailers below.

'Aquaman' - 14 December 2018

There’s a meme going around about how mums want to take their kids to see “Aquaman,” and it’s easy to see why. Jason Mamoa has made the big time and is appearing as Arthur Curry, DC Comic’s version of King Neptune. Director James Wan is hoping the film will do as well as “Wonder Woman” and “Justice League."

'Papillon' - 21 December 2018

“Papillon” is a remake of the original film that came out in 1973, starring Steve McQueen and Dustin Hoffman. This version has Charlie Hunnam and Rami Malek playing the role of the French prison escapee, Henri Charriere and his wily accomplice, Louis Dega respectively.
