China-based leakster, Reviewer shared other specification of the device. The specifications show that the flagship will be powered by a #Snapdragon 835 64-bit octa-core processor backed by 6GB of RAM and up to 128GB of internal storage. The leak also mentioned the existence of a 256GB variant.

The Mi Mix 2 is said to have an improved camera setup on the rear panel with a 12MP Sony’s IMX362 sensor. For selfies, there will be a 5MP front-facing shooter with an OmniVision’s OV5675 sensor.

The GeekBench listing suggests that the device will run on custom MIUI 9 wrapped around Android 7.1.1 Nougat and will also have NFC support. The alleged device scored 1929 in single core test and 6431 in the multi-core test. The smartphone is likely to be fuelled by a 4500mAh battery and will lack waterproofing capabilities.

With the original model showcased in November 2016 and started shipping in mid-December, and the White edition announced at CES 2017 in January, Xiaomi might launch the phone by the end of the 2017 or even later. However, there are contradicting rumours saying the company might launch the device on September 12. It is certain that the Xiaomi Mi Mix 2 will not be launched outside China, so users will have to buy the smartphone through the Chinese importers such as GearBest and Geekbuying.
