Taiwanese technology giant, Asus made it official earlier this month that the company will be introducing its much-awaited ZenFone 4 #Smartphone at an event on August 17. It seems the device has appeared on benchmarking website, GFXBench, just ahead of the launch, thereby revealing the major specifications of the upcoming device.

Rumoured specs and features

As reported by First Post, the information revealed through GFXBench reveals that the smartphone is going to feature a 5.5-inch display with a resolution of 1,920 x 1,080 pixels. One of the main highlights of the smartphone will be its five-finger gesture support. On the storage front, the smartphone will also come equipped with 4GB of RAM along with 64GB of internal storage.

The smartphone is believed to be powered by a Qualcomm system-on-chip processor; however, which generation it will belong to, is something that is not yet known. The upcoming #Asus Zenfone 4 smartphone will run on the latest Android 7.1.1 Nougat operating system.

Device might come up with Android O

There are chances that Asus could end up introducing the yet-to-be-announced Android O as well – as soon as it is made official. The smartphone will also possibly be packing a dual rear camera setup with two 12-megapixel sensors. This will further be complemented by Auto Focus, Face Detection, Flash, and Touch Focus on the rear panel of the smartphone. The camera specifications of the Asus-branded smartphone will also further extend its support for Ultra-High Definition video-content viewing, which extends up to 3,264 x 2,448 pixels resolution.

The company also recently took the wraps off its ZenFone 4 Max smartphone. The device comes equipped with a 5.5-inch full HD AMOLED display and is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 630 system-on-chip. On the storage front, the device offers 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage. The device will further house a 3,300mAh battery and sports a dual rear camera setup, as well as two 12-megapixel rear shooters and an 8-megapixel front snapper. Asus is also further expected to add to its ZenFone-4 line-up of smartphones with the help of other devices. These smartphones fall in different price ranges and are targeted towards specific needs of particular users. The smartphone manufacturer has taken a special interest in improving its front-camera specifications as well. #System On Chip
