Brazil thrashed uruguay 4-1 in the world cup qualifying match and made sure that they stay on top of the South American group standings. This win was Brazil's eight successive win and they came back from a goal deficit and Uruguay stays second on the group standing even after this loss. Argentina rose to third position after a goal win over Chile and Columbia rose to fourth position after a win over Bolivia.

Brazil equals with Uruguay in first half

Estadio Centenario stadium in Montevideo was filled with approximately 60,000 crowds urging vociferously for Uruguay.

Uruguay started the goal scoring when left back Marcelo chested a back pass to goal keeper Alisson and it was beaten by Uruguay striker Cavani [Paris Saint-Germain club] and he was brought down by the goal keeper leading to a penalty. The penalty was converted by Cavani and the shot was taken to the right of the goal keeper and Uruguay took 1-0 lead after seven minutes of the match.

Selecao rose to the occasion as this was the first-time team was trailing after Tite had taken as coach. Paulinho [Guangzhou Evergrande, Chinese club] scored the equalizer for Selecao as he took a shot from the edge of penalty box and the shot beat the goal keeper. Both the teams were locked 1-1 at intermission. The mid field possession of Brazil was superb and Neymar [ Barcelona ] though kept quiet in the left flank did assist in the equalizer.

Brazil was dominant over Uruguay in second half

The second half was meant to keep Neymar at bay and Brazil proved that it was not a one man show and took the lead . Paulinho played a ball in to the box and Firmino rifled a shot in after turning left and Silva, the Uruguay goal keeper could execute the save and the rebound was put in by Paulinho and Brazil took the lead 2-1.

Neymar assured that full points would be taken by Selecao as he scored a goal in the 75th minute by lobbying over the goal keeper.

A Dani Alves cross in to the box was chested to goal by Paulinho in the dying moments of the game and he completed his hat trick. Brazil will host Paraguay in the next qualifying match and a win would continue their dream run. It is a refreshing Brazil from the 2014 and fans would hope that the team continues their inspired run.
