There have been many players in the Premier League who have shone this season. But who makes my list? I have decided to look at the top six players that sky bet have chosen. They are written about in accordance with who are the favourites.

Eden Hazard - 9/4 with Sky Bet

It is no surprise that the Belgian is top of the list. After the difficulties of last season, Eden Hazard has thrived and been exceptional this season. As stated on Sky Sports, Hazard already has 10 league goals to his name so far and 12 overall. He is essential to everything good about Chelsea and it is no surprise to see him as the favourite to win the award.

N'Golo Kante - 5/2 with Sky Bet

The French midfielder has had another marvelous season. After helping Leicester City to the Championship last season, it seems that Kante is repeating the feat this season for Chelsea. As reported on the Premier League website in the 23 league appearances that he has made, Kante has been on the winning side eighteen times. Whilst not known for his attacking prowess, it is his role in protecting Chelsea's back four that is pivotal. He has also made eighty two tackles, with a tackle success rate at sixty three percent. In addition to this, the 186 recoveries made by Kante are a major reason as to why they have only let in seventeen goals in the league all season.

Diego Costa - 6/1 with Sky Bet

The third Chelsea player to feature is their striker Diego Costa. Despite rumblings about a fall out with manager Antonio Conte, Costa has been magnificent this season. As stated on Fotmob, his fifteen goals in the league are a major reason as to why they are where they are. He has scored the winning goal in games against Middlesbrough, West Brom, Sunderland and Crystal Palace, according to the Soccer Base website.

He is also more than capable of winning the Premier League's Golden Boot. He just trails current leader Romelu Lukaku by one goal.

Zlatan Ibrahimovic - 8/1 with Sky Bet

Next on the list is the big Swede. Although reaching the twilight of his illustrious career, Zlatan Ibrahimovic has become so important to United this season.

It is not just his goals (which there have been fifteen), but also his sheer presence in the squad. He is not only looked up to for what he has achieved in the game but also what he contniues to do on the pitch. He lifts those around him and has the same aura about him that Eric Cantona once had.

Dele Alli - 8/1 with Sky Bet

We thought it could not get any better for Dele Alli than what he achieved last season, which culminated in him winning the PFA Young Player of the Year award. He is still only twenty but plays like a player way beyond his years. Spurs sit second in the league and a large reason for that is the form of the young Englishman. As reported on the Who Scored website, Alli already has eleven goals to his name for this season.

Kevin De Bruyne - 11/1 with Sky Bet

Next up is Kevin De Bruyne. Although Manchester City have struggled at times, the Belgian has not. Whilst he may not have scored the most goals, his nine assists have helped keep City in the top four. Whatever happens come the end of the season, it is clear that if the blue side of Manchester are to achieve anything this season, De Bruyne will have to be at the very heart of it.

Alexis Sanchez - 16/1 with Sky Bet

Last on the list is Alexis Sanchez. Where would Arsenal be without the Chilean forward? Whilst he has made eight assists this season, he has scored fifteen league goals. He is so important to everything good about the North London club, and it would be a travesty if he were to leave at the end of the season.
