Jese Rodriguez signed for PSG from Real Madird in a £21 million deal in August becoming new manager Unai Emery's 5th signing of the summer. Now, after Julian Draxler's arrival from Wolfsburg for £35 million, the Spanish forward has been pushed further down the pecking order in the French capital. Now speculation is mounting that Jese could be on his way to the Premier League with Liverpool after themselves missed out on new PSG signing Draxler.

Lack of Game Time

Jese has only appeared 14 times for PSG since signing in the summer, and has made only one Ligue 1 start and one Coupe de la Ligue start with the rest of his appearances coming from the bench.

In them matches he has only registered 2 goals to his name and has not been given a good chance in the starting line-up. Unai Emery has recognised Jese's precarious situation and has suggested that he could be surplus to requirements in Paris.

"I spoke with (Jese) and he needs to recover his rhythm and confidence, play minutes and get opportunities, the possibility of Jese leaving is a reality."

Emery is not directly stating that Jese is free to leave the club in January, suggesting that perhaps the club are only willing to sanction a transfer if the player himself voices a desire to leave. The forward might perhaps wish to see the season through with the hopes of being handed more chances in the second-half of the season, but Emery's comments suggest future opportunities for Jese will be limited and Liverpool could be a potential destination for first-team Football.

Liverpool Interest

Ever since Klopp confirmed that he is looking for forward recruitments in the January transfer window to replace the AFCON bound Sadio Mane, Liverpool have been linked with every name under the sun. From Quincy Promes to Christian Pulisic, now ex-Real Madrid forward Jese is the next on the list. It is not like the forward doesn't suit the Klopp criteria, a proven talent who is yet to achieve their full potential, Jese could prove to be a hit at Anfield as Liverpool try and catch Chelsea in the race for the Premier League title.

At this moment in time this is just a rumour, however ex-Liverpool player Steve Nicol revealed to ESPN that he believes that a January move to Anfield is possible for Jese.

"I think it is possible, the fact that PSG have gone and signed Julian Draxler means that there's even less of a chance of Jese starting. Klopp has already said that he is interested in adding some more attacking wide players, so why not Jese?

I think this has got a chance, obviously it depends on the money but I think this deal (could happen)."

With the amount of players that Liverpool are linked to, it is anyone's guess which player Klopp signs to bolster his sides Premier League title chances.
