Garuda Team has done initial training in Fields 1 My Dinh Stadium, Hanoi, on Monday.

There was no weight training program conducted in addition to light training and recovery including weather adaptation. Anywhere from 0 to 20 degrees Celsius is touted to be a handicap for the squad since indonesia is a tropical country and almost all member of the squad had never experienced cold weather. It is one of the reasons Team Garuda went to Vietnam early.

"The weather is cooler than in Indonesia. Since yesterday did not meet the heat," said midfielder Bayu Pradana.

Indonesia Team are lucky because it had a friendly match against Vietnam at the same venue early in November before the AFF Suzuki Cup started. At that time, Indonesia defeated their opponents 2-3. The friendly was rated by Bayu, captain of Mitra Kukar, as an advantage because it had adapted to the weather because the air temperature was colder than now.

Bayu said it will take hard work to reduce the aggressiveness of Vietnam. Understandably, the squad who coached by Nguyen Huu Thang has a one away goal advantage while competing in Pakansari Stadium, in the first leg.

"We're in a high motivation to win tickets to the final.

Hopefully that desire can be achieved," said Bayu.

Austrian Alfred Riedl, Indonesia Team coach, reminded his players to remain their feet on the ground. A 2-1 win over Vietnam in the first leg semifinal is not a guarantee for Team Garuda will be seamless to the final. Riedl prohibit the players come out at night, so that they are not physically drained.

Riedl is known as a coach who is very disciplined. At AFF Suzuki Cup 2010, he threw Boaz Solossa because the striker was late to join in the training camp.

"I want to build a team with discipline. Without discipline do not expect the Indonesian national team to be successful," he said.

On Tuesday, Team Garuda will undergo a field trial in My Dinh Stadium before the second leg match on Wednesday. Indonesia need only a draw in order to advance to the final.
