Arsene Wenger is said to be very interested in signing a new left-back, who can replace Nacho Monreal. Although the Spaniard has been solid at the left side of the defensive block, he is not getting any younger. The 31-year-old is currently first choice for Wenger, but his form in the first half of the season was very disappointing. Arsenal have yet to offer a new contract for Kieran Gibbs, who is natural replacement at the left-back position. That’s why Arsene Wenger is eyeing a deal to bring new left-back to his squad.

Gaya was a reported target of Real Madrid, but he decided to extend his contract with Valencia to keep him in the club until 2020. With Valencia currently fourth from the bottom of the table, reports suggest that young Spaniard would love to change his club and move to the Emirates.
