Last Night saw the return of 'I'm A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here' to our TV screens this means the Christmas countdown is well and truly on - the show each year usually finished around two weeks before Christmas ad with the show only been on for three weeks, you can see how close the festive season is approaching.

I'm a Celebrity... 2017:

Last night saw 10 brave new celebrities arrive in the jungle to face the infamous bush tucker trials in order to win meals for themselves and the other campmates in the hopes of being crowned the new king or the new queen of the jungle for 2017.

There is a well-mixed bag of stars in this years season which also features the oldest ever celebrity participant, Stanley Johnson.

This Years Jungle Stars:

  • Shappi Khorsandi - is an Iranian born comedian who openly revealed she is bisexual after divorcing her husband fellow comedian Christian Reilly. She appears regularly on comedy shows such as 'Live at the Apollo', we are expecting her to be the funny queen of the season, with quick one-liners and a harsh attitude towards possibly some of the other campers.
  • Vanessa White - Vanessa was the main vocalist in the UK girl group 'The Saturdays' and has one heck of a voice on her which I'm sure we will hear at some point during her stint on the jungle, she will have a lot of young fans who will watch the show, making her one of the more popular and recognizable contestants on the show this year.
  • Amir Khan - This Bolton born former lightweight boxing champion was the contestant producers of the show were hoping would set the single girls tongue wagging in the camp and hope for a camp romance but it was revealed ahead of last nights episode that he has reconciled with ex-girlfriend Faryal, after their romance broke down earlier on in the year through cheating rumors - big sports personalities that enter the jungle such as Amir tend to do very well - lets see if he can keep the sporting momentum going.
  • Georgia Toffolo "Toff" - This Made In Chelsea star is set up to be this years 'Jungle Babe' following in the footsteps of the likes of; Mylene Klass, Katie Price, Vicki Pattinson and Jorgie Porter. Toff has recently just starred in E4's hit TV show 'Celeb's Go Dating' where she proved herself to be one of this seasons most loved stars to appear gaining herself a lot of fresh, young fans which will come in handy just in time for the show. I feel Toff may be the real underdog of this season and will surprise everyone with her humour and attitude.
  • Jennie McAlpine - Jennie is one of the nations favourite soap actresses following her current 16-year long portrayal of Coronation Street character Fiz Brown. It was revealed that the producers have wanted to big this soap star for years claiming that her bubbly personality and the audiences love if her character will see her go very far!
  • Jamie Lomas - Jamie was the Hollyoaks bad-boy and has recently just left the soap in a dramatic exit. He starred in the soap for a total of 11 years making him one of the soaps longest running stars and recognized by many people. He was once married to Coronation Street actress Kym Marsh, but their marriage broke down after the death of their son. He will be a huge hit for the show and I feel will be backed by a lot of people throughout his time in the jungle - but also has a very firey side which I'm sure won't take long to expose.
  • Jack Maynard - Jack is most famous for his YouTube channel and in last nights launch episode referring to himself as a "YouTube sensation" he posts the likes of online challenges and comedic acts/performances on his YouTube channel that currently has over 1.2 million subscribers. His brother is UK singer Conor Maynard who has performed at hit UK festivals and has a string of young female fans.
  • Rebekah Vardy - Rebekah is the wife of England and Leicester city footballer Jamie Vardy who has recently shot to fame since Leicester won the Premier League cup last year. Usually, the stars that go into the jungle who claim to be 'celebrities' because they are married to someone who is actually famous, tend to struggle to get the backing from the general public and don't tend to hand around too long - let's hope she can change this!
  • Dennis Wise - Dennis is an ex-footballer who used to play for England and Chelsea who is still known for his off the cuff tackling and ruthlessness on the pitch, we are hoping he will bring this fiery side of himself out in the camp and get the arguments flowing throughout the campmates, because who doesn't love watching a good argument.
  • Stanley Johnson - Stanley is now officially the oldest campmate to enter the I'm A Celebrity jungle, he is an author and a former politician who just so happens to be the father of conservative front-runner Boris Johnson. I can already see Stanley becoming a key figure in the camp and will definitely be in it for the long haul, so he won't be coming anywhere anytime soon.

Do you already have a favourite in the jungle after last nights launch or have an idea in mind who is going to win?

I'm A Celebrity ... Get Me Out Of Here, is on ITV1 every night at around 9 pm for the next three weeks, make sure you watch!
