North Korea has tested a new intercontinental ballistic missile (which has the convenient shorthand abbreviation ICBM), and it is believed to be their most powerful yet. They fired it over Japan as a way of offering a challenge to the United States, with whom they have a very delicate and very dangerous relationship. North Korean dictator Kim Jong-un certainly isn’t a fan of US President Donald Trump, and the feeling is mutual.

Trump is playing it cool when he shouldn’t

After Defence Secretary James Mattis told Trump that North Korea’s new ICBM demonstrated their ability to reach “everywhere in the world, basically,” with a nuclear device, the President coolly said, “We will take care of it,” and that the North Korea crisis is merely “a situation that we will handle.” But this is no time to be cool.

It’s a time to panic!

Trump and Kim have an existing relationship of barbing one another. Trump has previously insulted Kim as “short and fat,” after the dictator referred to him as a “dotard” (which basically means old and stupid). It was ridiculously unprofessional thing to do, which isn’t that bad, except for the fact that his profession is the most powerful one in the whole world and the fate of the world is hanging in the balance.
