Winterville

Is an alternative festival taking place on Clapham Common and promises fun for all the family. Give your best Torvill and Dean impression and skate on Clapham Common's first-ever Ice Rink, try-out the delicious street food from Street Feast or play Crazy Golf on the UV-light Plonk Golf course, while sipping on a mulled wine.

It's not quite the London Eye but ride the Big Wheel for views of London's unique skyline. Our personal favourite was donning our skates for the 80s roller disco.

There’s also loads to stop the kids getting bored including a live adaptation of Mimi & The Snow Dragon from War Horse creator Michael Morpurgo and it's glow sticks at the ready for family rave-up with Big Fish Little Fish and immersive experience from A Tea Dance For Little People.

Experience West India Quay

One of London's best kept secrets, just a stone's throw from Canary Wharf this iconic 19th-century warehouse offers spectacular views of the city skyline and is home to a fabulous selection of waterside bars, eateries and leisure outlets including a Cineworld 10 screen cinema.

Ideal for a Christmas meal is The Sipping Room an intimate bar with inspired menus and handcrafted cocktails and gorgeous Xmas decorations. For the festive season, the Drake & Morgan owned establishment has introduced the trend of the moment, Igloos. Enjoy the great outdoors in a heated igloo complete with beautiful soft rugs, perfect for romantic dates or groups of friends and family.

The food is also a huge selling point of this chic venue, we opted for a delicious steak in blue cheese sauce and a homemade scotch egg to start, it was a culinary delight. Afterwards, we finished the night with a few gluhwein's and some festive music, we can't wait to take our friends back.
