It was an idyllic wedding for 34-year old billionaire Alexis Ohanian and 23-time grand slam champion Serena Williams. The glitzy Thursday night affair held at the Contemporary Arts Center of New Orleans saw a parade of A-list celebrities, family and friends. Two-month-old daughter Alexis Olympia Ohanian Jr was part of the wedding ceremony.

A star-studded wedding

The stars were shining brightly at the 200 guest extravaganza. The celebrity-packed affair included guests like Beyonce, Kim Kardashian, Kelly Rowland, Ciara, Eva Longoria and husband José Bastón, newly engaged Tennis star Caroline Wozniacki and her fiance David Lee.

Not only was it a wedding full of celebrities [VIDEO]but in the days and months leading up to the grand occasion, Serena was spotted celebrating with her pals. Earlier this month the wedding festivities started with a girls weekend getaway in NYC. The bride-to-be was accompanied by her sister Venus, Ciara and La La Anthony among others. A-listers were also spotted at the rehearsal dinner and the celebration brunch on Friday.

The perfect couple

An internet mogul and a winning tennis star tied the knot in a Beauty and the Beast themed wedding ceremony. Their love story, since connecting two years ago, read like a that of a perfect couple, cemented with the birth of a daughter 11 months ago followed by a romantic engagement topped off with a dream wedding.

The couple has been openly showing their love in public and on social media and has often been described as the perfect couple. They shared the birth of their daughter and the December proposal with their fans on Social media. The invincible Serena Williams had met her prince charming Alexis Ohanian.

What they wore

Wearing a Sarah Burton for Alexander McQueen bridal dress, Serena made a stunning entrance and was a vision of perfection.

The groom looked dapper and distinguished in a dark blazer, grey pants, ruffled shirt and a bow tie. For the reception, the bride changed into a short Versace dress complimented by a pair of glitzy sneakers. The mother of the bride and sister Venus and baby were all decked out in white or light coloured outfits that featured lace.

For the second day of celebrations, the groom was spotted dressed casually in black pants, blue shirt, blazer and white gold trimmed trainers.

A brunch and a getaway

After the glam and glitz of the wedding ceremony, it was time for a super brunch held on Friday at the Ace hotel. Friends and family were treated to a buffet and a video game arcade. The bride dressed in a short white dress was seen dancing with her beau. On the next day, it was time to make their getaway on their honeymoon with the baby in tow. Husband Alexis was photographed, helping his wife into a private jet while he held her purse and baby Olympia.
