Actress Nargis Fakhri is a name in Bollywood, not a big name but she is on the second rung of stars. The actress based out of New York had been attracted to the Indian film industry and made her debut a few years back, with Ranbir Kapoor in the film “Rockstar”. The actress who was a model, however, charmed Indian audiences in whatever limited opportunities she got. Nargis began dating Uday Chopra, son of the biggest name in Bollywood production Yash Chopra, who passed away about 2 years back. He was 70.
The affair hit rock bottom as it was rumoured that Uday Chopra had refused to marry her.
Nargis was reportedly heartbroken and went away to New York. She has returned and the Indian Express has reported that the two have made up and are rumoured to Tie The Knot. Nargis also went and met the mother of Uday Chopra in Mumbai, lending weight to the rumours of an impending wedding sometime next year.
Uday
Uday Chopra is a big name in Bollywood as producer-director, who sometimes acts in his own films in a supporting role. He is 44 years old and in 2012 founded his own production company which has produced hit films like “Ek the Tiger (Once there was a tiger)”, “Dhoom (Turmoil)” and “Hum Tum (You and me)”. Nargis is 37 and has won many awards as a model before she made her debut in Bollywood in 2011.

Nargis is Muslim actress and Uday a Hindu. Her late Mohammed Fakhri was a businessman and her mother Marie Fakhri, former police officer. She completed B.A. with a Major in Fine Ar from Queens college in New York. Very few Hindu-Muslim marriages take place in India and in case they do tie the knot., it will be one of the rare events.
Nargis is half Pakistani and graduated from College in New York and immediately took to modelling. She met Uday a few years back and the two have been off and on together for a couple of years.
Marriage
Uday Chopra’s latest film “Tiger Zinda Hai (Tiger is alive)” is due to hit the screen soon. Starring top star Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif.
The film is expected to do well at the box office. In the meantime, the rumour mills are spinning tales of an impending marriage between Nargis and Uday. Both have passed their youth and there is a possibility that this time they will tie the knot, though Nargis in an interview to Mumbai Mirror denied any marriage plans. But there is no announcement from the couple.
Nargis is still a bachelor girl and so is Uday Chopra, In case they marry it will be a first time for both of them.
