It is that time of year once again when major U.S. TV networks announce the shows that are renewed for our entertainment in the coming television season. It is also when you hear about the shows that are definitely no more and others that are hanging in the balance. It is a period of much anticipation and relief as fans wait to see if their favorites will be axed or return for another season. It is also a time of hard choices for the executives of the major networks who are tasked with the job of determining which shows deserve another year. American Idol is being reborn to the delight of its fans as is Scandal which has been renewed for one more season. No surprise that the long running Grey’s Anatomy will be back. Other shows on ABC being renewed are:

The television shows identified here are those that have been confirmed to return or re-born for the 2017-2018 season.
