PlayStation has just dished out the official trailer for "Star Wars Battlefront 2." This ahead of its announcement at the upcoming Star Wars Celebration in Orlando.

It came out of nowhere

Fans were somewhat caught off guard about it as most of them are already well acquainted that it will be announced at the above-mentioned "Star Wars" gathering in Florida. Faithfuls who have already seen the clip took screenshots from the teaser in case it was taken down from the web.

From the looks of it, "Star Wars Battlefront 2" will include different timelines from the film series' massive mythos.

The sizzler reel showcased glimpses from the prequel trilogy including the most recent film - "The Force Awakens."

In line with this, key characters from various "Star Wars" eras were also seen in the teaser. Darth Maul, Yoda, Rey, and Kylo Ren were spotted including a close-up shot of a yet to be known female character that is believed to be the game's main protagonist on its solo mission gameplay.

Clone Wars and Empire's POV gameplay

Another notable hint being featured is that the upcoming game sequel will feature the events during the Clone Wars and a storyline from an Empire's perspective. Moreover, it suggests that space battles will be epic in this new instalment as it showcased dogfights between the Empire's TIE fighters and the Rebel Alliance's X-Wings.

There were even flashes of a blown up Death Star and its successor – the Starkiller base.

Meanwhile, both Mark Hamill and Daisy Ridley have announced a special promo in line with their upcoming film - "The Last Jedi" and "Star Wars'" 40th anniversary. Dubbed "Force For A Change" campaign, participating fans will get the chance to win some nifty stuff in exchange for donations.

Moreover, during the promo period's final week, one lucky fan will be drawn to win all three prizes which include a trip to the Skywalker Ranch, a possible appearance in the Han Solo standalone spin-off film, and to attend the movie premiere of "Star Wars Episode VIII The Last Jedi." The number of entries will depend on how much a fan would be donating that can go from $25 to as high as $50,000.

The video did not mention details on when will it be released. It is believed that "Star Wars Battlefront 2" will be filling the shelves later this year which is the time when "The Last Jedi" will be shown in cinemas. For those who haven't seen the video, fans might want to check it here:
