The film minted Rs 387 crores nett collections in the India and in final collections, it might collect close to Rs 388 crores nett. 'Dangal' is the first movie to cross Rs 350 and 375 crores mark at the Indian box office. The movie minted Rs 543.2 crores gross in India.

The lead actor Aamir Khan proves that he is the biggest star in the India by having two back-to-back 700 crores gross movies.
He is the major attraction for 'Dangal' movie too which made the film to have a blockbuster run at the ticket window as well.
Nonetheless, Aamir Khan is going to play a special guest role in 'Secret Superstar' movie which is produced by himself on his Aamir Khan Productions banner and the film is slated for August 11th, 2017 release.
