The Shah Rukh Khan's movie is having a bigger release than Hrithik Roshan's movie. So the first day collections of the 'Raees' movie were estimated to be around Rs 23 to 28 crores nett at the Indian box office and $1.5 to $2.5 million at the overseas markets.

On the other hand, 'Kaabil' first day collections were estimated to be around Rs 16-20 crores nett at the Indian box office and $0.8 to $1.2 million at the overseas markets.

Thus both the movies were expected to have decent openings at the box office and can perform at the box office during the first weekend irrespective of the talk. The further box office performance depends upon the talk of the movie from the audience. Advance bookings opened for both films

The Advance bookings for the movies were opened in Bookmyshow and Paytm ticket booking platforms. The advance bookings are decent for the both movies and normal bookings will start from Jan. 23rd, 2017 onwards.
