Star Wars debuted on the silver screen in 1977. George Lucas decided to risk with such an ambitious project and won the bet. The Luke Skywalker's story become an instant pop culture mania and after the original trilogy (the best one so far) , the prequels arrived in the 90's and early 2000's. We thought we had said goodbye to the Skywalker's family, but J.J. Abrams nailed it with the VII episode. Disney acquired the Star Wars' rightsfrom George Lucas and decided to go on with new stories.

Last year, J.J. Abrams resurrected successfully the saga with the VII episode which was a critical acclaimed box office success. J.J. Abrams started a whole new cinematic world in the Star Wars Universe and Rogue One is part of it. The upcoming movie will be a spin-off and prequel of the on-going trilogy and it will star Felicity Jones asJyn Erso , Mads Mikkelsen as Galen Erso and Alan Tudyk, Diego Luna and Ben Mendelsohn.
Rogue One is set in the Star Wars Universe some time after the Star Wars Episode III
What we know so far about the movie? Rogue One will tell the story of a group of rebels, the Rebel Alliance leaded by Jyn Erso that will try to steal the plans for the Death Star.
The story is set in the saga's universe some time after the epic third installment: Star Wars Episode III- Revenge of the Sith.
A thrilling return in Rogue One: Darth Veder
An iconic and beloved Star Wars' character will be included: Luke Skywalker's father Darth Veder will be part of the picture. His absence was deeply felt in the VII episode and after the return of original characters as Luke Skywalker, Leia and Han Solo we will know see again the scary villain of the first trilogy.
Rogue One will also not deal with Jedi. The movie will tell the story of this group of people who don't have the ability to use the Force but still want to help the galaxy and bring hope in a dark world ruled by empire. It will also be a more bleak scenario, where there are shades of good and evil in every character,
