Indian Television is once again experiencing the infamous leaps season and the biggest highlight of leaps on television show has always been the most popular actors quitting the show. While leaps are seen as the easiest way to rope in new faces and push the excitement levels higher, the original cast of all these shows is finding it difficult to age so rapidly on the small screen. At times it even looks ridiculous with actors playing roles almost double their real age which at times also pigeon holes them into serious roles for the rest of their career.

Television actresses quitting shows due to leaps

While we recently heard about Nia Sharmaquitting Zee TV’s flagship show Jamai Raja because of a leap, it’s now Mansi Srivastava following the suit. As per online reports, the Sasural Simar Ka actress has quit the popular Colors TV show and is not longer a part of the same.

According to the rumors going online, the decision is based on the 20 year leap for Sasural Simar Ka which the makers are planning and Mansi is not interested in playing an older character so early in her career.

Second leap for Sasural Simar Ka

Interestingly Sasural Simar Ka which is labeled as the most outrageous show on Indian television recently took a 5 year leap. The makers of the show have left very little things to be touched as far as crazy imagination is concerned.

The show has featured the Simar the protagonist reincarnation as a Makkhi (fly) to ghosts, dayans and tantric babas. But the show still has a huge fan following and thus Mansi’s exit will definitely effect her fans who loved watching her on the show.

Mansi Srivastava has already shot her last episode

Mansi has already said to have shot her last episode for the show.

Mansi used to play the role of Prerna on the show and the leap is said to be a solution to the dropping television rating points of the show.

With so many television actors not willing to playolder characters in the shows with which they have been associated for years, the makers and the creative heads of these shows will really have to rethink on usingconstant leaps as a way out to pump up the television ratings.
