Masaan and Raman Raghav 2.0 actor Vicky Kaushal is rumored to have recently auditioned for Deepika Padukone’s next directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali titled Padmavati.

Deepika and Ranveer together yet again for the third time

Padmavati is yet another historic epic from Sanjay Leela Bhansali and if rumors are to be believed the movie will yet again witness the union of Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone on the silver screen. It will be interesting since Sanjay Leela Bhansali has worked with Ranveer and Deepika in two back to back movies now i.e. Goliyon ki leela Ram Leela and Bajirao Mastani.

While Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh’s last Bollywood release was the magnum opus Bajirao Mastani, Vicky Kaushal’s last Bollywood release was Anurag Kashyap’s Raman Raghav 2.0 where he played a drug addict. His role in his debut Masaan was highly rated and he even won IIFA’s Best Debut Male award for the same.

Deepika Padukone to play the Queen of Mewar

Padmavati is said to be a historic epic based on Queen Padmavati who was Mewar’s queen and had an eventful life. The film is said to have absorbed Sanjay Leela Bhansali completely as he is apparently reported to be spending a whooping 18-19 hours a day on the film already when it has not even gone on floors yet. He is looking closely into everything right from music recordings to detailing in the costume finalizations and the set design, to the historic research which is going to be enormous for the said historic saga.

Deepika busy with Vin Diesel's XXX

Deepika is currently gearing up for her Hollywood debut opposite Vin Diesel in XXX - The Return of Xander Cage while Ranveer Singh is wrapping Yashraj’s love saga Befikre which is said to be high on romance. Vicky on the other hand has Manmarziyan where he will be seen along with Ayushmann Khurana and Bhumi Pednekar.

Padmavati is reported to go on floors in September 2017. Well we hope that if the rumors are true about his audition, Vicky gets the role and it will skyrocket his career as he truly is a talented actor indeed.
