Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh’s Bajrao Mastani enters the top 10 list of Bollywood’s highest overseas grossers of all time

While Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Bajirao Mastani has already broken many records on the Indian box office, it seems like there’s no stopping for this movie. The one has now entered the list of Bollywood’s top ten overseas grosser of all times which is a commendable achievement considering the fact that it is the only historic movie in the said list. It also happens to be the first movie without the presence of Bollywood khans i.e.

Shahrukh Khan, Salman Khan, Amir Khan to enter the list. Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s efforts of making this movie for over 12 years seem to have finally reaped the deserved benefits.

The other movies in Bollywood’s top ten overseas grossers of all time list are Amir Khan’s PK 3 Idiots and Dhoom 3, Salman Khan’s Prem Ratan Dhan Payo and Bajrangi Bhaijaan, Shahrukh Khan’s Dilwale, Happy New Year, Chennai Express and My Name is Khan. Bajirao Mastani which is a historical love story about the Maratha warrior Bajirao is appreciated and enjoyed so much that it has been declared tax free in the state of Uttar Pradesh. The movie has been a immensely successful venture for Sanjay Leela Bhansali with overall collections crossing Rs.186 crores in the domestic market itself, in a record breaking 33 days.

Its over a month since the movie released and it is still going pretty strong at the box office while its competitor Dilwale’s theatrical run is almost over with just a few screens left here and there. Bajirao Mastani’s Box Office performance is surprising since it was its epic clash with Shahrukh Khan’s Dilwale which was predicted as a curse for the movie.

Dilwale though was appreciated by many, it couldn’t sustain in front of Bajirao Mastani as it got bad reviews from majority of the audiences.

Looks like Deepika Padukone’s 'Mastani' and Priyanka Chopra’s 'Kashibai' along with Ranveer Singh’s 'Bajirao' have taken over the box offices by storm to rewrite box office history in their own historic manner indeed. Bajirao Mastani’s victory dance continues to rule the Bollywood screens.
