Indian actor Irrfan Khan, who has featured in several prominent Hollywood films, is all set to make an appearance along with Tom Hanks in the upcoming movie Inferno slated for release in 2016. An adaptation of Dan Brown's best seller novel Inferno, the film with the same title will have Irrfan in a prominent role.

The actor will be visiting Budapest to zero in on his look. Irrfan looks forward to start the shoot of the film, directed by Ron Howard.

"The visit to the Budapest (where the major portion of the film will be shot) is to finalise my look in the film.

The production team will decide my costume and my hairstyle. Ron and I have been discussing how we will approach the role and will decide upon the character's accent," said Irrfan. "The nationality of the character is not important, but he will definitely have some British influence. While I was looking for references for the role, Ron sent me some links, and he even got Dan to look for some material, which he forwarded to me," said Irrfan. The actor also hopes to meet celebrated American author Dan Brown in his latest visit to America.

The buzz of Irrfan performing in Inferno was making the rounds for a long time, but only after signing the final contract has he started to talk about the film.

The film features Tom Hanks as Robert Langdon in the fourth installment by Brown. Tom will be joined by Oscar nominated actress Felicity Jones. Irrfan was last seen in the multi-award winning film Haider and is all set to take up yet other challenging role which will further enhance his experience.

Khan plays the character Harry Sims, also famous as The Provost, while Omar Sy will play Christoph Bruder and Sidse Babett Kneidsen will reprise the character of Dr Elizabeth Sinsbay.

In the film, Langdon wakes up in an Italian hospital with amnesia.

There was a reason that several prominent international actors have been cast in the film. The international cast says Howard will underscore Robert Langdon's "life or death peril." The protagonist Langdon will be involved in high stake actions to prevent a global threat.

Irrfan has appeared in several Hollywood hits such as Life of Pi, directed by Ang Lee, wherein he played the titular character. He played a scientist in the Amazing Spider Man, and will soon be seen in a villainous character in Jurassic World, the fourth installment of the famous franchise.

Maintaining a perfect balance, Irrfan is working in Indian as well as Hollywood films. He recently finished shooting with the film Piku, directed by Shoojit Sircar, where he will be seen with Deepika Padukone and Amitabh Bachchan. He will also play a pivotal role in Jazbaa, directed by Sanjay Gupta which is mark the return of Aishwarya Rai post her maternity sabbatical.
