2015 is quickly becoming a great year for Kristen Stewart. Last month the 24-year-old became the first American actress to win a César, the French academy award, winning the award for best supporting actress for her performance in The Clouds of Sils Maria. Her success has been followed up with news that she has signed up for Night Moves, director Kelly Reichardt's latest project.

Announced by Deadline earlier this week, Stewart joins Michelle Williams and Laura Dern in the as yet untitled project about 'a series of vignettes that revolve around the lives of people in small-town Montana.

In her role, Stewart plays a young lawyer determined to reinvent herself as a teacher who strikes up a friendship with a local auditing her class. James Le Gros, Jared Harris and newcomer Sara Rodier are also set to join the project which will be produced by Neil Kopp and Anish Savjani.

Details have emerged concerning in each of the characters and storylines. Dern plays Laura Wells, a Lawyer inexorably drawn to married man Ryan Lewis ( Played by Legros), a man constantly neglecting his wife and daughter. The My Week With Marilyn actress Williams plays Gina Lewis, an advertising executive and Ryan's wife. Finally, Harris plays a disgruntled former construction worker, injured in a work-related accident and planning a hostage situation

This marks a return from the wilderness for Stewart, who saw her career stall after reports of an affair with Snow White & The Huntsman director Rupert Sanders surfaced in 2012.

Since her return to the screen in 2014's Camp X-Ray, Stewart has been avoiding big budget studio projects, instead striking gold with a series of academy award winning films, amongst them Still Alice, which debuts in the UK this week.

Stewart missed out on a nomination in her role in the forthcoming Film, her French academy triumph The Clouds Of Sils Maria leaves her perfectly poised to challenge for an Oscar next year, with the film narrowly missing qualification this year.

Clouds of Sils Maria is due for release on 10th April. Filming will take place on location in Montana, with no release date announced.
