Ek Villain (EV) which hit the Bollywood box office on 27th June 2014 was a dark horse indeed. Directed by Aashique 2 fame Mohit Suri , Ek Villain certainly had some buzz created before it released, but the golden run on the very first weekend at the ticket windows was something which wasn't counted as a deliverable.

Ritesh Deshmukh's last movie before EV was Humshakals which can be royally ignored considering the ample talent he has potrayed in this one. He has taken the movie to a different level. This same guy has made us all laugh with his eyes in movies like Masti and Dhamaal, and now the same eyes come back to scare you.

Shraddha Kapoor has managed to do something more than a typical go around trees routine set up for most bollywood heroines in commercial movies, she has managed to act well in the limited presence she has been awarded. Siddharth Malhotra on the other hand is the biggest surprise since SOTY was a teen flick while EV pushes him ahead as the next HE-Man of Bollywood.

As far as in film marketing goes, the movie has smartly placed brands like Royal Enfield and We chat into the script , whereas brands like Fuji film could have had a better exposure as far as logo presence is concerned.

All in all a must watch for all Indian movie lovers. Dont miss this one.
